You're interested in getting started with paper planning, but you're not ready to start thinking about buying a binder or an expensive spiral bound planner. You're welcome to choose what you think will suit you best a la carte from the Planner Pad section of my shop, but I wanted to give you the option of using exactly the pages I've been enjoying in my planner, in easy-to-use notepad form with high-quality pages (go ahead and use a felt-tip pen if you like, I promise the ink won't bleed through to the next page). I love a daily planner for those busy days when scheduling my flexible tasks around my time-constrained obligations feels like a Sudoku puzzle (and I am NOT good at those), but I find I also like to be able to see my whole week at a glance. The Weekly docket page is designed to give you just enough prompts to give you an overview of your week.
A To Do List is an important part of my system for those days when I'm not working with a lot of set times, but have a lot to do, such as errand days and those rare days when I have a lot of uninterrupted time in my studio. I like to break my longer to-do lists down into categories to help me decide what to do when. The category headings are blank, so you can use the sections to prioritize your tasks, divide them into categories (work, family, home, personal), or for time-blocking groups of tasks ... For my Thursday errand days, this sometimes translates to "errands before spin", "after spin class", "afterschool mom taxi" and "evening catch-up."
You'll receive a 30-page set of 5.5"x8.5" daily planning sheets, a 26-page set of 5.5"x8.5" weekly docket sheets, and 50 3.25"x8.5" long to-do list sheets. Do you find yourself frustrated by pads that have a cute design, but flimsy paper that tears easily, or your writing leaves an impression on the next page -- or even bleeds through? This pad is made of extra-thick, super luxurious, phenomenally smooth 32 pound (118 gsm) paper. The paper is designed for optimal printing, which turns out to also mean that it offers an effortless writing experience for your favorite pencil, ball point, roller ball or felt tip. If you're a fan of Paper Mate Flair pens, you'll love the crisp edges your pen strokes hold with this paper. If -- like me -- you find yourself erasing and rewriting as you go, I highly recommend a Pilot Frixion pen in blue ink (the black leaves a bit more of a ghost behind after erasing).
